Cancellation and refunds, made clear.
Plans change. This page explains how to cancel or leave a paid SkillsNCR service, and how refunds are worked out.
This Policy explains how cancellation, early exit and refunds work for paid SkillsNCR services. Fees are published separately and confirmed before you pay.

The simple principle
You may ask to cancel or leave a paid SkillsNCR service. Refund treatment depends on when you cancel, what has already been delivered, what remains unused and the terms that apply to your enrolment. Services already delivered are ordinarily not refundable. SkillsNCR may approve reasonable exceptions, and any mandatory rights available to you under applicable law remain unaffected.
1. Scope
SkillsNCR provides education, learning-support and capability-development professional services under Nervescape Analytics LLP (LLPIN: ACD-9814). SkillsNCR is a brand and initiative of the LLP, not a separate legal entity.
This Policy applies to paid SkillsNCR services whose enrolment or engagement terms refer to it, such as SchoolReady monthly learning support. Some programmes have their own terms (see section 15).
A request may be made by the learner, a parent or guardian, or the person who paid (the “payer”). For learners under 18, we ordinarily deal with the parent, guardian or payer.
Website use is covered by our Terms of Use, information handling by our Privacy Policy, and current prices by the Fees page.
2. Our approach
You can ask to cancel at any time. Asking to cancel does not by itself create a right to a full refund. The outcome depends on when you cancel, what has been delivered, what remains unused, any genuine non-recoverable cost specific to your enrolment, the terms you accepted and applicable law.
We treat two kinds of situation differently:
- Amounts owed. A verified duplicate or excess payment, a paid service SkillsNCR does not deliver, a materially deficient or materially different service, and any other refund required by applicable law. These are not matters of goodwill (see sections 7 and 8).
- Voluntary cancellation. A change of plans, relocation, a scheduling conflict or personal circumstances. These are assessed under sections 3 to 5 and 9.
Refunds relate to the service provided, not to results. Unless an express, lawful written guarantee has been given, SkillsNCR does not guarantee marks, grades, admission, internships, employment, placement, salary, promotion or any other academic or career result. Not achieving a hoped-for result does not by itself show non-delivery or create a refund entitlement. See the Terms of Use for more.
3. Cancellation before commencement
If you cancel before any paid service has begun, SkillsNCR will ordinarily refund 100 per cent of the amount paid.
A deduction may be made only for a cost that is genuine, reasonable, identifiable, lawful, specific to your enrolment, already incurred or irreversibly committed, and not recoverable by SkillsNCR. If a deduction applies, we will tell you what it is for and how much it is.
There is no cancellation fee and no administration percentage. Overheads, marketing, salaries, general administration and processing charges are never treated as cancellation deductions.
4. Monthly services
For services paid month by month:
- you may cancel future service periods at any time;
- cancellation stops future periods in line with the payment arrangement you accepted;
- once the current paid period has begun, that period is ordinarily not refundable on voluntary cancellation, although an authorised SkillsNCR representative may approve an exception;
- future periods that have not become properly payable are not charged once cancellation takes effect.
Stopping attendance is not the same as cancelling. Please tell us directly so that future billing stops. A cancellation is not backdated simply because the learner stopped attending before telling us.
This Policy does not impose a universal cancellation notice period for all SkillsNCR programmes. Where a particular programme has a notice period or another cancellation condition, it must be clearly communicated and accepted before payment.
5. Fixed-duration programmes
For a programme with a fixed duration or a fixed scope paid in advance, a voluntary withdrawal after the programme has started is reviewed against objective criteria:
- when the withdrawal was requested;
- the portion of the programme actually delivered;
- sessions attended or made available;
- services, materials or resources already supplied;
- the unused portion;
- any genuine, non-recoverable commitment specific to the enrolment.
A pro-rata refund is not automatically available throughout the programme. Eligibility for a voluntary refund reduces materially once a substantial part of the programme has been delivered. The unused portion is not automatically forfeited either; it is reviewed on the criteria above.
An authorised SkillsNCR representative may approve a full refund, a partial refund, a programme credit, a transfer, a pause or rescheduling, or may decide that no additional discretionary refund is due. Fixed refund percentages or milestones apply only where an approved programme-specific policy adopts them and they were accepted before payment.
6. Missed sessions and non-attendance
A missed session does not lead to a refund where SkillsNCR made the agreed service reasonably available. Where it is practical, we may offer rescheduling, a replacement session or materials, but this cannot be promised in every case. If the learner intends to stop, please send a cancellation request rather than simply stopping attendance.
7. Changes, cancellation or deficiency on our side
SkillsNCR may make reasonable operational changes — such as to timings, educators or mentors, sequence, platforms or venues — provided the essential service remains substantially equivalent. A minor change does not create a refund. A material change that substantially affects the service can be raised with us for an appropriate remedy.
If SkillsNCR permanently cannot provide a material paid service and cannot reasonably provide an equivalent alternative, we will refund the undelivered portion. This also applies where the cause is outside our reasonable control and the service cannot be delivered within a reasonable period. We may first offer rescheduling or equivalent delivery, but you are not required to accept an alternative that is not reasonably equivalent.
If a paid service is materially deficient, is not supplied, or is materially different from what was agreed or represented, any remedy available under the applicable agreement or law is preserved. Please tell us promptly what went wrong so that we can look into it and put it right.
8. Duplicate or excess payments
A verified duplicate or excess payment will be corrected or refunded. This is separate from cancellation and is not a matter of goodwill or discretion.
9. Exceptional circumstances
An authorised SkillsNCR representative may approve a more favourable outcome in genuinely exceptional situations, for example:
- serious medical circumstances;
- material family circumstances;
- relocation;
- another exceptional circumstance supported by reasonable evidence;
- the wider customer relationship.
We may ask for reasonable supporting information, but we do not need detailed medical records. An exception made in one case does not create a precedent for another.
Where a credit, transfer or pause is offered, its value and conditions will be confirmed in writing. You will not be required to accept a credit instead of money where applicable law entitles you to a monetary refund.
10. How refunds are assessed
SkillsNCR does not publish a general refund percentage. The principle is:
Refund = the amount properly attributable to the unused or undelivered service, subject only to lawful and reasonable adjustments supported by the accepted terms and the actual circumstances.
SkillsNCR will not invent retrospective fees or arbitrary deductions to reduce a refund. An authorised SkillsNCR representative may approve a more favourable outcome. No decision under this Policy may reduce a refund or remedy that applicable law requires.
Discretionary refund requests are determined by an authorised SkillsNCR representative under this Policy, without affecting any right or remedy available under applicable law. Support staff can receive and explain requests but cannot promise a refund outside this process.
If a learner is removed from a programme for serious or repeated misconduct, unused fees are not automatically forfeited. The outcome takes into account the service already supplied, the unused portion, any actual loss, the terms accepted and applicable law.
11. Instalments and future payments
Where you pay in instalments, amounts already properly due for services delivered remain payable. Future amounts that relate only to future service are not charged once cancellation takes effect. Cancelling does not make every remaining instalment due unless a programme-specific obligation to that effect was clearly accepted before payment and is legally enforceable.
12. How to request cancellation
Send cancellation and refund requests through the official channels on the Contact page, or email contact@skillsncr.com with the subject line Cancellation or refund request.
Unless applicable programme terms or law require otherwise, a cancellation request will ordinarily be treated as received on the date it reaches an official SkillsNCR cancellation or support channel. The cancellation date cannot be earlier than that date.
Please include:
- the payer’s and learner’s names;
- the registered mobile number or email address;
- the programme or plan;
- the payment reference, amount and date;
- a brief reason, and supporting information only where genuinely needed.
Please do not send card numbers, one-time passwords or banking passwords. If bank details are needed for a refund, we will ask for them through an official SkillsNCR channel.
We will record your request, verify the payment and what has been delivered, and tell you the outcome and, where relevant, how the amount was worked out.
13. Refund processing
Where applicable law or regulation requires a refund within a specified period, that period will apply.
In other cases, SkillsNCR will review complete refund requests promptly and will ordinarily aim to initiate any refund that is due or approved within 10 business days. SkillsNCR will not unreasonably delay verification or a refund decision. Processing by a bank or payment provider after initiation may take additional time outside SkillsNCR’s reasonable control.
Refunds are made to the original payer and payment method wherever reasonably possible.
14. Consumer and statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If this Policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, that mandatory requirement will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
If you are unhappy with how a request was handled, email contact@skillsncr.com with the subject line Refund complaint. We will acknowledge it, review the decision and respond with our findings. This does not prevent you from pursuing any remedy available under applicable law, including consumer dispute redressal.
15. Programme-specific terms
A programme or engagement may have additional or different cancellation, payment or refund terms where those terms are clearly communicated and accepted before payment. Those programme-specific terms will apply to that engagement, subject to applicable law.
This Policy does not automatically govern a programme that has its own published terms unless those terms expressly adopt it. SkillsNCR will not rely on a charge or condition that was not clearly disclosed before payment, and a footer link to this Policy is not, on its own, acceptance of programme or payment terms.
SkillsNCR may update this Policy. Updates apply prospectively; the version accepted or provided at the time of payment ordinarily governs that enrolment, and later changes do not remove rights you already have.
